BEST OF FEBRUARY 2022: RESTAURANT FAVORITES OF THE MONTH

Hey y'all! We're rounding up our top 5 favorites from February, including restaurants and experiences. Keep reading to see our recommendations for coffee shops to chill at, unique date nights, and sushi deals (did somebody say all you can eat sushi?! 👀).

PS: These are in no particular order, just as they came to me. 😁

1. WILD | @WILD_CONCEPTS

Wild is a brand new coffee shop, bar, and CBD dispensary in the Heights. Brought to you from the same owners of Grinder’s by Rice Village, Wild serves the same coffee and has the same CBD options, but has a BAR inside where you can get your coffee and cocktails infused with CBD! If you’re not into CBD, you can get their coffee and cocktails without it, too. ☕️

We highly recommend Wild for getting some work or studying done, catching up with a friend, or grabbing a drink in a very cute environment! It’s a super Instagrammable and cozy space with lots of little tables with plenty of seating.

2. SPORTING CLUB | @SPORTINGCLUBHTX

Located within the bar scene on Washington Ave in the Heights, Sporting Club is a newer addition and y’all! The space is so beautiful with lots of seating inside, a retractable roof, and chandeliers throughout. During the day it’s especially beautiful with lots of natural light, making it really airy and vibrant. 🤩

We went for brunch and we were super impressed with the food. Definitely get the Brunch Burger, Breakfast Potatoes, Apple Pancakes, and the Avocado Toast! The cocktails were very light and refreshing – we tried the Classic and Spicy Side Piece and really enjoyed them.

3. SUSHI HAYA | @SUSHIHAYAUS

This is an all-you-can-eat sushi concept located in Spring, Texas but worth the drive because you can’t beat the price! For $29.95 (per adult), you can choose from sushi rolls and sashimi (it’s fresh and good quality), as well as fried rice, udon, hibachi and more. 🍣 There are options for everyone even if you don’t like sushi.

They also have an amazing Happy Hour, with $6 cosmos, margaritas, and martinis, $7 old fashioneds, and other specials on beer, sake, and wine. Happy Hour is 3pm to close on Monday through Saturday, and ALL DAY on Sunday! (PS: They also do a lunch all-you-can-eat for $19.95)

4. FLIGHT CLUB | @flightclubdartsuSa

Matt and I actually went to Chicago in November of 2021 to visit the Chicago location of Flight Club (watch our vlog here) and they finally opened in Houston! It’s a social darts experience which is so unique and different. They have cocktails and food, but we really just love the environment, ambiance, and concept. 🎯

It’s a high-tech dartboard where they use high-speed cameras to track your throws and tally the points. No matter your skill level at darts, it’s super fun for groups and date nights!

5. HAIDILAO | @haidilaohotpotus

Although it’s not new to Houston, we recently went to HaiDiLao (a hotpot restaurant from China) and were so impressed. Just like a typical hotpot restaurant, they have the vegetables and meat… but y’all the broth is so good! You can choose up to four broths and our favorite was the Pork Stomach/Chicken. What sets this place apart though is that it’s all high-tech. You order through an iPad and a ROBOT 🤖 server brings you your order! You can also order the Dancing Noodles, and someone will hand-pull noodles from your hotpot right in front of you with a front seat to the show. 🍜

Absolutely worth the drive to Katy because the food is amazing (and the noodle dance was so fun)!

Let us know if you try any of these spots out!

Pirates swept as a result of Giants just after walkoff seals 8-7 triumph over - Bucs Dugout

The Pittsburgh Pirates sooner or later shook off the offensive doldrums from the San Francisco Giants, yet it continue to wasn ample toward snag a get, as the Giants gained it upon a 9th-inning walkoff property function by means of Thairo Estrada off of Wil Crowe. It was a again and forth contest ahead of that, on the other hand, that observed the Pirates down large early immediately after the Giants intended a 5-0 contribute off of newbie Zach Thompson, together with a a few-operate dinger versus LaMonte Wade Jr., who undoubtedly killed the Bucs this sequence.
