After the devastation that Hurricane Harvey brought, it's been incredible to see everyone in the community come together to help rebuild our city. I've never been more proud to call Houston home!
Even months after Harvey, we are still in recovery mode and Famsa Furniture is joining in to give thanks and encourage our Houston community to "sit together". On December 9th, Famsa will be hosting families affected by Harvey at their Little York location for a Famsa Feast where they will be donating furniture to those who suffered hefty losses.

Additionally, Famsa Furniture will be donating TV's through Grupo Fe y Esperanza, a community organization that provides lower income families in our area with social services. You'll be able to watch these families receiving their TV's personally from Famsa Furniture in December on their Facebook page here!

With Thanksgiving quickly approaching, I've been thinking a lot about things I'm thankful for. One of which is having moved down to Houston right before Harvey. Hold on, hear me out before you start thinking I'm crazy!
After seeing the aftermath of such a huge storm and watching everyone coming together as a community to help one another out, I realized how diverse yet united Houston really is. I am so thankful businesses like Famsa that are willing to give back and more importantly, I am so thankful to be a part of a community willing to help our neighbors in need. We really are #houstonstrong!
What're you all thankful for this holiday season?
