Looking for an easy appetizer to take to your in-laws or maybe a potluck? Try this incredibly easy Cheesy Shrimp Crostinis recipe. It is such a crowdpleaser and is great to entertain guests with. For this recipe, we're using our favorite cheese, Dorothy's Cheese, but you can substitute it out with any other cheese you like, such as mozzarella and/or pepper jack.
First, gather your ingredients! Most of these items are staples that you may already have in your fridge and/or freezer, which is one of the reasons why I love this recipe. Otherwise, you can pick these items for a relatively decent price! Another reason is that you can substitute ingredients to your liking - like the bread and cheese. We used sourdough here and absolutely loved it. You can also use a thin baguette for more bite-sized pieces.
Start off by peeling and deveining the shrimp.
Mash them up with the side of your knife and chop up the shrimp very finely.
Mix in the mayonnaise and cheese.
Spread the mixture onto your slices of bread.
Throw the them in the oven or airfryer at 325-350 degrees for about 10 minutes. Keep an eye on them. Once they have started to brown, you can remove, top with chives and cilantro, and enjoy!
