As much as I love buttery and greasy food, sometimes I just need a healthy break. Anyone else ever feel that way?
Local Foods has been on my list of places to try for probably about a year. It's quite a popular spot on Instagram with their aesthetically pleasing space, but it's also been known that their food is as amazing as it is healthy.
The menu is on the lighter side, but it doesn't mean that it's any easier to make a decision! You can choose between a sandwich or salad (all sandwiches can be prepared as a salad), and all sandwiches come with two sides.

Everything sounds worth trying at least once. After a long, grueling debate between our options, we ultimately chose the ones that stood out the most, and we were not disappointed. Honestly stand behind both of these dishes 100%. I loved every bite and didn't regret a thing, as I normally do when I eat unhealthy food.
GULF SEAFOOD
Shrimp, crab, green goddess, romaine, pickled red onion, and tomato on ciabatta bread. Sides are Kale and Cauliflower.

CRUNCHY CHICKEN
Nut "crumble", provolone, buttermilk ranch, pickles, romaine, and tomato on a pretzel bun. Sides are seasonal fruit and chips.

To be completely honest, the chips were a bit of a let down. Opt for the Kale! Yes, I know what you're thinking - I HATE KALE! Trust us, Local Foods knows how to prepare kale the tasty way.
