Almost 10 years ago, Rise Souffle opened its doors in Dallas, a quaint French bistro known for their delicious souffles. Fast forward to about 2 years ago, the little restaurant expanded to Houston near the Galleria, right above Peska and Whole Foods.
Rise has been on my list of places to go even while I was living in Dallas. I always heard so many great things about the atmosphere and their food always looked incredible! So when I found out that there was a location in Houston, I was ecstatic and made it a point to finally visit!

Walking in, I felt as if we were stepping into an adorable French cottage. I imagine that Rise would be the perfect place for date night or a family outing. We also found out that they host cooking classes and birthday parties where you learn to make your own souffle!

Once you've sat down you'll receive a hot baguette on a custom rise bread cutter!

Make sure to order the cheese cart - aka the best thing ever invented. Your waiter will come by with an actual cart full of different types of international cheeses! From there you'll pick and choose the ones you want to try.
Now onto the main attraction... the souffles!

To be completely honest, I enjoyed the sweet souffle a ton more. I've never had a savory souffle before, and it left me wanting more. The dessert souffle was what I was missing. I will definitely be coming back for dessert! Try the chocolate as well!
